My name is Jodee Lund and I am starting my 12th year in education. My husband, Nate Lund, and I are both educators and grew up around the Morris Area. We are both passionate about technology, project-based learning, and student choice and voice. We have three children, Elliot, McKinley, and Chloe. They are our pride and joy! In our spare time, we enjoy spending time outdoors camping, fishing, and boating!
I spent my first five years as a high school Social Studies teacher at Blue Earth Area. Three of those years were also spent as a technology coach for the district. It was during this time that I completed my first Masters in the Science of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership through Southwest State. It was through these experiences where I dove deep into the world of technology and thoughtful implementation.
To be closer to home (Morris), we moved to Glenwood, Minnesota, and have been here for six years. The first three years in the district I was the K12 Technology Integration Specialist (TIS). My most passionate project as a TIS was rolling out our Minnewaska Makery program. During this time, I went back to school and obtained my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction through MSUM with an emphasis in leadership. I felt the need to gain a better background on best curriculum and instructional practices to further train, equip, and empower teachers to thoughtfully integrate technology tools and resources. While being a TIS was fun, I missed the classroom and daily interaction with students. This transition occurred gradually as I juggled both teaching and TIS for a year. I am now a full-time classroom teacher teaching World History, AP World History, and American History. Throughout the last four to five years I have been busy working as an Adjunct Professor for Minnesota State University of Moorhead, a Nearpod editor, and a curriculum writer for Minnesota Partnership for Collaborative Curriculum. As many in education do, I wear many hats and am involved in many leadership roles. The most recent has been developing and leading our district’s induction program. Life is crazy and busy, but I wouldn't change it for the world!
