Reflection
A person can never communicate enough. While I feel this is an area of strength, I do feel this can always be an area of focus. Communication is foundational to building clarity, capacity, and cohesiveness. Through my practicum and prior roles on various committees, I have been a part of building and working toward a shared mission, vision, and core values of two districts. I have demonstrated individual and team facilitation skills in the programs I have developed. I have led multiple professional development sessions within my district, throughout the state, and even nation. Within the Minnewaska Momentum Program, the team I collaborated with focused on identifying cultural problems and developing practical solutions to change the atmosphere within our building. As someone who leads technology trainings within the district, I am very familiar with making presentations that are clear and easy to understand. This, along with presenting to our local school board on various technology and makerspace initiatives and the Mentorship Program, I have also become proficient in responding to, reviewing, and summarizing information for groups. This also illustrates my ability to speak, listen, and write for different audiences. I am very passionate about the power of technology including its use as a platform to tell a district's story and communicate with our stakeholders. I have included two flyers that I have made using Canva and posted on our school's Facebook page which I monitor part-time for the district.
